Greed powers our economy through restrictive licensing deals and claims of copyright. What enables this demand is the ability to control access or demand incentives as compensation for their work. The Internet, built without these restrictions, is being threatened to include protections for licensed and copyrighted content. G.R.E.E.D. (Glom & Restrict Entities on Existing Domains) demonstrates how a web user’s browsing experience and anonymity can be threatened through restrictions, take-downs, censorship, and monetary blackmail if such license and copyright restrictions are imposed on the Internet. >> Try It Now <<For Chrome, Firefox, and Safari Part of the C.R.E.A.M. exhibition at Art Micro Patronage. Digital Purchase Takedown Notice
http://fffff.at/digital-purchase-takedown-notice/
As net.art is entering into widespread recognition, a trend of purchasing is occurring by interested collectors. Instead of the takedowns typically seen from Homeland Security / FBI domain seizures, collectors are issuing their own takedown notices as digital web pages are being entered into private galleries & museums, removing these pieces from the public visibility that gave these artists and their digital works their viewing audience. Don’t be surprised when you see a digital purchase takedown notice on your favorite net.art piece. Make your own: Download the Purchase Takedown Notice PSD (1.2MB).

Patriotism and Privates: TSA Undergarments
http://fffff.at/patriotism-and-privates-tsa-undergarments/
Your pride for your junk should be equivalent to your patriotism, and it is important to let the government know your dedication and growth potential. What better way then showing the government your continuing pride by pointing them in the right area to look during airport security body scans.
Don’t let bashful, shy terrorist-loving naysayers ruin the excitement of airport screenings. Let the TSA know your proud of your unmentionable regions and not ashamed to let them see your private areas. Wear your excitement and give the TSA a little more reason to enjoy their jobs. Original underwear for men and women. Metallic pasties also available for women.

Meme Generator Surge
http://fffff.at/meme-generator-surge/
One of the best things about ROFLcon is trying to find ways to hack, heckle, and celebrate the lolz of internet culture. And no ROFLcon is complete without some meme-related project. With the recent surge of memes generated on memegenerator.net, there is a large number emerging memes based around this simple tool. The application of Moore’s Law to memes states that the progress of creation of memes will become quicker over time. Meme Generator Surge allows the creation of new memes by adding crazy amounts of new meme images to their site, all from a single script, reaching the God Tier in no time! Go grab the code, run it from your computer, and make yourself a forced meme expert. Project by Greg Leuch. Props to Liam Cooke for AutoMeme.Code available at github.com/gleuch/meme-generator-surge

Twitter Fileshare (or, How to Tweet Any File on Twitter)
http://fffff.at/twitter-fileshare-or-how-to-tweet-any-file-on-twitter/
Randy beat us in launching his How to Tweet Porn, and imma let him finish, but filesharing on Twitter shouldn’t be limited to just porn images. Theo and myself have made tweeting any files of any size to Twitter easy, and can even run from your own computer or your web server. The FAT Lab crew have begun the Twitter seeding – with movies, images, code, and other items of copyright or intellectual property – at http://tweetfil.es. We’ve started with code, music, and movies… but we need your help to seed more files to Twitter! So why is filesharing on Twitter important to FAT Lab? Governments and private organizations continue to lock down legitimate file sharing through raids, law suits, and “consumer protection” laws & treaties. And while larger file sharing arenas are targeted, many forget file sharing has existed across many different mediums for decades. Early filesharing beginning with Usenet groups, where the binary data was converted to text characters and reprocessed for download. Facsimile machines follow a similar method of dissemination of binary data. And even ham radio used teletype to transmit photos across long distances by converting photos to ASCII before transmission. If Twitter is today’s Usenet and Usenet was used for file sharing years ago, why shouldn’t Twitter be utilized today for file sharing? Download the code and start seeding your files to Twitter! How To Track the Google Street View Car

Get inside a Google Street View Car. Open your favorite Twitter app on GPS enabled smartphone. Tweet sporadically to plot geographic points on the map. Relax as the blogosphere and media outlets go into a frenzy.
Of course, the entire hoax needs a little software to track the movement. Detailed instructions on creating the map* can be found at github.com/gleuch/gcar-tracker. (*Some computer skillz required.)

fuckCAPTCHA
An open-source alternative to spam prevention to the evil humanization of human brain cycles for a corporate pet project? Add this to your site! The founder of reCAPTCHA created their tool to prevent spam and help humanize OCR scanning errors, later noting that he had “unwittingly created a system that was frittering away, in ten-second increments, millions of hours of a most precious resource: human brain cycles.” In Sept 2009, Google bought reCAPTCHA, assumingly to help with the work of their book scanning project. So why support them when you can reaffirm your efforts of enforcing the fuck corporate culture by typing it in for every time to need to verify yourself as a non-evil human. Includes hearing impared audio captchas!
Sample the code below: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://fffff.at/widgets/fuckCAPTCHA/fuckCAPTCHA.js"></script><script type="text/javascript">if (FATLab_fuckCAPTCHA) {FATLab_fuckCAPTCHA.Values.Theme=’default’; FATLab_fuckCAPTCHA.Make();}</script> code by Greg Leuch – get the code!
