OPEN INTERNET public intervention video: 4:06 min Aram Bartholl 2011 Since the SPEED SHOW paris I was haunted by the Open Internet signs I filmed last year and used as a title for the show. I ve been looking at these sort of cheaply produced, super low resolution LED signs (the IRL animated gif ;-) for a while already and fell in love with them. You find them in any shopping window especially in EU these days. There are also many OPEN signs in US but hardly any INTERNET signs. I had to change that! :) The OPEN INTERNET intervention was produced during my residency stay at EYEBEAM. ARAM

So, the Picnic - a true internet zero situation - was super!.. Caos show up and we even had a power failure :), to make our fragile set up, even more chaotic. Magnus conversation was really great..(almost as good as the chocolate cookies) and you lucky can check it out here, this speech/performance a la David Lynch about internet zero, and forests and slow downloads.
